grow up!

why do we have too? do we need to grow up to be mature?
we’ve always heard inspiring stories of keeping the kid inside us alive. that people should not lose their childhood. then why do we need to grow up?

can’t we just face the world as it is?
is there a boundary that you cross to be a grown up?

i’d just try to go live each day and enjoy playing games, watching movies, watching cartoons and animes, eating ice cream and spaghetti. for 8 hours each day i would toil away like any grown up would do and that would be it. i would live life as it is. and hopefully gain enough wisdom to decide maturely on things of importance. but i refuse to let the kid in me go away.
